<</nobr>>so I didn't write yesterday, I was trying to make something work, but getting vanilla javascript work with text files stored on the website server is hell, for some goddamn reason. guh. gonna work on it more after this.

<</nobr>>oh yeah, the rest of my life. well. literally one whack thing happened yesterday, but it was so late that I couldn't really write about it. like 11:30 it happened and I was kinda in shock for the next half hour.
[[what happened??]]<<nobr>>

<</nobr>>so like, I have this apartment, and it's an hour away from where my parents still live, where I grew up, all that.
and, my mom always texts me goodnight. well, most nights. sometimes she forgets, and she's super apologetic about it in the morning, and I'm just like "who cares".
so, last night, I wasn't checking my phone. I was watching the 1971 fiddler on the roof with my friends. my phone has a case that covers the screen when closed, and I had it on completely silent.
I missed the text from my mom. and the next 7 texts. and the texts from my dad. and the calls from them both. I only realized I got them after a different friend who lives on the first floor, "hey, do you guys know a [deadname]?" and I go to the front door to check, and my parents are there.

<</nobr>>yeah... my mom was crying, she thought I got into an accident somehow on the three minute drive home from campus or work, I guess.
anyways I was pretty freaked out that they're still acting like this. this isn't the first time my mom pulled something like this because I wasn't constantly at her beck and call, constantly giving her attention when she wanted it. she called campus police on me in freshman year because I was taking a nap in my dorm and didn't respond to her right away.
I was hoping she'd grown up by now, from this bullshit. she complains about how much her own mother calls her, and yet.
I'm sorry, this shit is either really upsetting or really boring for you to read.

<</nobr>>I have other things I kinda-ish wanna talk about, but not right now. just wanna keep this entry short. to finish off, though, go [[listen to this new richard dawson single|https://open.spotify.com/track/3r9b2Fvi8EQBUBxRECLtYt]]. I'm really excited for 2020 to come out, it's gonna be out in like a month. october 12th is a month away!! a bit less, even. also the new kero kero bonito single is pretty cool. they played it on the random-ass-shows radio station I listen to in the car.
alright, I'm done now. I'll see you soon.
